I found some durian (or lulian: as how chinese would pronounce it; or thulian: as how would siamese call it) in the basket in Dubai! How haven is that.
Where it is normal to get RM 10 (USD 3.) for 3 durian in K.L (But of course you can have it free if you plug it from your own tree) . I found the most expensive durian in a Carrefour in Dubai. It's DHS 27.50 (USD 7.70) for a kg. So it would makes about 2.5 - 3kg for a durian = just count it yourself (as I feel like getting a knife to stab my own stomach now).

Madinat Jumeirah
We can have the view of illuminating Burj Arab (the world's only 7 star hotel) from here. Madinat Jumeirah is another place for the kind of people of not-knowing-whatelse-they-gonna-do-with-their-money would be. Of course I was just can afford walking at their corridors thinking "gosh, where does they get their money from? Are they sort of estacsy pil dealers?"
Looking to their rate: the cheaper room is DHS 3 000 (USD 850) per night and a villa would goes up to DHS 30 000 (USD 8500) per night. (fell like I stabbing my own stomach knowing this-this is not a place for rich; its a place for nuts!)

Dubai Festival City
Dubai Festival City is just another shopping mall in this city. (whatelse can we expect for a shopping mall-branded outlets, blonde models on big billboard, ballons hanging as if there is someone's birthday, bunches of Filipinos at the foodcourt as if we are now somewhere in Manila , and a bunch of Arab looking at you as if they are saying "hey, what are you - not so white people doing in our country?")
But Festival City do have something else-a high ended funfair, where there are all sort of games that we use to have it in our back-at-hometown's funfair with tripple prices. Each game would set you DHS 5-15 poorer (USD 1.5-4.5). As in other funfair-don't really wish to win any coz they will make sure it is hard enough for you to get their prizes, at least for the first 6 trials.
At least, enjoy your view looking to those private yatches at the adjacent canal. (I spent sometime pretend waiting for my yatch to pick me up. After half-an-hour, I pretend again as if I'd misplaced my yatch at the other canal, so I walked away.)
Dubai: Rich & Famous
Dubai is famous for a place of shopping for the rich. (So what are the not so rich peoples doing here?) I will do my weekly work out here-walking from one end to another end. (Well, that is what not so rich people do-window shopping) Every week, I will spend my day off going to different places in the city. Thus if I required to work on that day, (are we the professionals or slaves, then?) I will refuse; by hook or by crook. (7 days working circle a week? Some more, working in the desert. Are they out of mind?)
Friday Morning
This is the place where I always am on weekend (Friday).
Usually my breakfast for a piece of paratha (pancake) with keema (minced beef) together with milk tea will cost DHS 9 (USD 2.3). That was my standard weekend breakfast as I couldn’t have it in weekdays. (Dough, I worked in the desert-lah! Where could I find a mamak shop there?)
Around Mankhool
There is a famous supermarket called Spinney only steps from the apartment's entrance. Some famous hotels (Ramada, Regent, etc...),computer malls and so much more things which couldnt really recall.
But still can recall this..
But still can recall this..
When the night falls, there are a lot of people from all walks of life mingling around; and when it is late enough it is one of the famous place in the city to catch glimpse of prostitutes from all over the world!(and their customer, who seems to be in Arabian attire as well) – well it is an international city, right?
Its My Dungeon
The apartment is at 5th floor and there is a gym I used to do my weekly work out and a swimming pool which I had never been (coz it is always under maintenance). It is at the center of old town of Dubai where they have shopping arcades, hotels, discos and entertainment clubs around (Well, it supposed to be entertaining then).

This is the coaster, which brought me across the border of Oman-Yemen, which I didn’t expect they would have it. It took me 14 hours to get to my destination from Salalah, the border town of Oman. (I was the only one in the bus who non-arab) Went through beaches, villages, rocky mountains and deserts. It’s kind of unforgettable experience (which also I would not repeat it again!-14 hours in the coaster-gimme a break!)
